Here’s a quick break from politics folks. This is Cracked 13!
I’ll freely admit that I’m a big movie fan. Hell, I’ll watch my favorite flicks again and again if given the chance (when I first got “Superman: Doomsday”, I watched that baby 5 times in as many days). I’ve got a sizable DVD collection, a decent portion of which is movies I bought purely for myself (seriously, what are the chances I’ll ever get my Mom to watch my special edition “Hellboy” DVD box set?). As much as I love movies though, I have very little respect for the movie industry itself. Sure, they pump out good films on a regular basis (there were a lot of them this year!), and Universal Studios is a fun place to spend a day at, but the way they do business just bugs me. Hollywood screws just about everyone over, not the least of which are us viewers. Also, they regularly mangle some of my favorite franchises (seriously, “Eragon”. I rest my case).
